How To Create A Website For Free

I have been thinking about websites more recently. then i heard that Australia (where i live) have been trying to pass a law banning people under an age not yet set but rumored to be 14-16 i decided i want these people to still be able to have thier social media like fun. so i have decided i wanted to show you how to make a website to have all your thoughts, what you are doing, or publishing photos if you wish

Creating the accounts

create an account on Github and on Netlify

Downloading the software

download and install github desktop, git, and vs code

Configuring VS code

when you launch it you choose a theme you if you want your eyes not to hurt want to use dark mode

then go to the extensions tab and search html

download HTML CSS support and HTML Snippets (these will make it easier to code)

Setting up Github

open the website

sign in

fork my website template or create a new repo

sign in to github desktop and follow the prompts

clone your repo

click open in VS code

Deploying to Netlify

click add new site

click import from existing project

select github

authorise netlify

choose your repo for your website

name the site

clck deploy

Modding My DSi

I just saw this beautiful DSI at my local op shop that had a screen protector installed and was kept in a dsi purse and as I broke my 3DSs charging port. when I brought it home and went to play a game but then released I had managed to lose all but 1 of my DS games so I decided I needed to mod it

I followed the guide on dsi.hacks.guide opting to use the stilehax method which uses a browser exploit though I found a few issues so I did as follows:

First you must copy twilight menu, dumpTool, and unlaunch to the root of your SD card

Then you visit the website stilehax.net on your dsi which should run the exploit. if it does not restart your system by holding the power button and try again

Once it launches tm++ press start and use the right and left bumpers (R and L) to locate the unsplash configuration and change the background to black

After exiting the configuration menu launch dump tool and dump your nand to your sd card

then reboot and redo the exploit to relaunch tm++

Run the unlaunch installer and select install unlaunch

After that press and hold the A and B buttons and press the power button once

After it boots into unlaunch select option, and change the boot preferences. I have no button set to tm++ and a set to launcher

After this I copied all my game dumps from my 3ds so I can play all my games (you may find other sources for these but I dumped mine)

I, after working on my website decided that I should make an open source template for anyone to use to make a website and learn html, css, js, and other server stuffs

How to use this Template

1. fork the template and open it in github desktop
2. find the index.html
3. replace all the place holders
4. repete for other top level pages
5. open the style.css
6. change the background image and theme colours
7. copy the example article
8. modify it
9. update the RSS.xml to whare your website is hosted
10. change the links in the contact me
11. add some images to the photo site
12. update photo-RSS.xml
13. open friends.csv
14. add your friends websites
15. save evreything
16. upload it to your host
